A friend of mine had posted on Facebook that she was looking for a little help with creating a new logo.
I decided to offer my help as I thought it would be fun and would also refresh my knowledge of Adobe Illustrator!

 

Step1:
Initial logo = top left.
My friend had told me a couple logos she liked the look of which all appeared pretty minimal. (Top, next to initial logo)
She had also expressed her love for handwritten fonts, so I first downloaded a lot of fonts that looked a little like calligraphy / handwritten. I played about with writing the whole title of the blog out, as well as the abbreviation.
Below were initial ideas to float by her and see what she liked the look of.

Step2:
After having a look at what I had first played about with, she had decided she liked the look of one particular font.
She seemed open to any little ideas around it, so I had taken the colour from her old logo of the diamond shape and incorporated that a fair amount into more ideas. 
​(There were a couple preset sticker ideas I decided to use to get the creative mind flowing!)

Step3:
She'd decided she liked this design inparticular and after sending it to her she is now using it for her blog!
